Nestled on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, the Clos Fourtet 2004 (Premier Grand Cru Classé B) blends Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Nose of ripe berries and violets, aged 18 months in oak barrels. A lively and mineral palate. Perfect until 2060 with game or aged cheeses.

Tasting notes for Clos Fourtet 2004
To the eye – A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a velvety texture and a crystalline brilliance.
On the nose – Aromas of black cherries and wild berries, enhanced by notes of crystallised violets, candied orange peel and a saline hint of graphite.
On the palate – A juicy and precise attack, carried by silky tannins, a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, prolonged by a long, spiced finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to reveal its full complexity.
