The Clos Venturi estate, based in Ponte-Leccia in the heart of Corsica, is the vision of the Acquaviva-Venturi family, who took over Domaine Vico in 1989 to establish it as a cornerstone of island viticulture. Spanning 28 hectares of high-altitude sandstone soils, this domain excels in the Vin de Corse appellation through biodynamic practices. The 1769 Rouge 2022 cuvée, a still red wine, blends 80% Niellucciu, 10% Sciaccarellu, and 10% Syrah, vinified in concrete vats for a fresh, fruity expression.
On tasting, this wine reveals a ruby hue with violet hints and an intense nose of stewed red fruits, spices, and liquorice. On the palate, it delivers a supple texture, fine tannins, and a lively finish, marked by pepper and maquis notes.
