The Comtes Lafon Meursault 1er Cru Charmes 1983, produced in the Côte de Beaune, is a rare Chardonnay from the Charmes climat. Notes of candied fruits, white flowers and vibrant minerality compose this wine of an unctuous texture. To enjoy with a roasted turbot or a poularde en vessie.
A family estate rooted in Meursault, where the demands of the terroir have been passed down through generations.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, the birthplace of Burgundy's great Chardonnays, shaping wines of chalky minerality and rare elegance.
- Vinification: Biodynamic approach and precise aging, for cuvées where the purity of the fruit combines with a vibrant tension.
Tasting notes for the wine domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault 1er Cru Charmes 1983
To the eye: A golden robe with amber highlights, of a silky and slightly unctuous texture, betraying its age with nobility.
On the nose: Aromas of candied fruits (apricot, quince), evolving towards notes of acacia honey, roasted hazelnut and a saline touch reminiscent of sea spray.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality, before a long, saline finish where gentle spices and a delicate bitterness intertwine.
Serve at 12–14°C in a Burgundy glass to release all its complexity.
