The Volnay 1er Cru Santenots du Milieu 2021 from Domaine des Comtes Lafon is a Pinot Noir from the Côte de Beaune, born on clay-limestone soils. Its aromas of raspberry and spices combine with a silky, mineral palate. To be decanted or kept 8-10 years, it enhances roasted pigeon or porcini mushrooms.

A family estate rooted in the Côte de Beaune since 1865, where tradition meets organic and biodynamic viticulture.

On the palate: A broad and fleshy attack, carried by a lively acidity and a saline minerality, stretching into a long and precise finish marked by nuances of wintergreen.
