Comtes Lafon Volnay 1er Cru Santenots du Milieu 2020
This Volnay 1er Cru 2020 from the Domaine des Comtes Lafon, a Pinot Noir from the Côte de Beaune, is born on clay-limestone soil. Notes of black fruits, flowers and minerals, a firm and silky palate, vibrant freshness. Aged in barrels, it pairs with meats and game until 2035.

A Burgundian institution rooted in Meursault, the Domaine des Comtes Lafon perpetuates a family heritage where rigour and respect for the terroir guide every cuvée.
- Terroir: clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, where the Pinot Noir of Volnay reveal a chalky minerality and silky elegance.
- Vinification: traditional methods – cold maceration, ageing in oak barrels – for precise, taut wines of great purity.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine des Comtes Lafon Volnay 1er Cru Santenots-du-Milieu 2020
To the eye: a garnet red robe with deep reflections, of a dense and luminous texture, like a liquid velvet capturing the light.
On the nose: aromas of black cherry and fresh redcurrant intertwine with notes of rose petals, sweet liquorice and a mineral touch reminiscent of the damp chalk of Burgundian subsoils.
On the palate: a silky attack gives way to a firm structure, carried by a lively acidity and a saline minerality that stretches the finish into a long, elegant persistence.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage marked by early ripeness and remarkable concentration, offering wines that are both powerful and of great finesse.
- Ageing potential: 15 to 20 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
