From the Les Perrières climat, the Meursault 1er Cru Perrières 2023 from the Domaine des Comtes Lafon captivates with its aromas of citrus, almond and gunflint. Vinified in barrels, it offers a taut, saline palate and a silky texture. Best enjoyed after 10 years of cellaring, it pairs beautifully with shellfish and poultry in sauce.
Domaine des Comtes Lafon
A family estate rooted in the heart of Meursault, where biodynamic rigor meets the heritage of an exceptional terroir.
- Terroir: Calcareous marl soils and chalky subsoils of the Côte de Beaune, the birthplace of Burgundy's great Chardonnays.
- Vinification: Fermentation in barrels and aging on the lees, producing wines of rare precision and depth.
Tasting notes for the Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault 1er Cru Perrières 2023
To the eye: A golden robe with green highlights, of silky clarity and promising density.
On the nose: Aromas of candied lemon, acacia blossom and Williams pear mingle with notes of roasted almond and flint, carried by a characteristic saline minerality.
On the palate: A rich yet taut texture, where vibrant acidity embraces a generous body, leading to a chalky, persistent finish marked by hints of honey and cedar.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a white Burgundy wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
