This Volnay 1er Cru Santenots du Milieu 2010, a Pinot Noir from Domaine des Comtes Lafon, draws its character from the clay-limestone soils of Volnay. Red fruit and cream on the nose, a silky and mineral palate, and a persistent finish. Best enjoyed after 10 years with duck breast or chanterelles.
Domaine des Comtes Lafon
Since 1869, this family estate has embodied the excellence of Burgundy wines, rooted at the heart of the Côte de Beaune. A tradition in which respect for the terroir is paramount, combining ancestral expertise with biodynamic practices.

Tasting notes for Domaine des Comtes Lafon Volnay 1er Cru Santenots du Milieu 2010
To the eye – A deep garnet-red robe with rich highlights, of a silky and luminous texture, heralding a dense and refined character.
On the nose – First, notes of ripe strawberry and raspberry enveloped in a creamy touch, followed by accents of violet and undergrowth, lifted by a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate – A velvety attack, supported by a lively acidity and taut minerality, stretching into a long, precise finish where soft spices and melted tannins intertwine.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its complexity.

A vintage marked by optimal grape ripeness, yielding wines of great concentration and beautiful freshness.
