Deutz Brut Classic blends Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay from the Aÿ crus, with 20–40% reserve wines. Golden color, delicate bubbles, hawthorn and brioche aromas, and a lively, silky palate. Perfect with oysters or for celebrations. Aging potential: 2–3 years.
A Champagne house founded in Aÿ in 1838, Deutz combines family tradition and winemaking excellence to create cuvées of timeless elegance.
- Terroir: The chalky soils of the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs, home to Champagne’s grands crus, lend minerality and freshness.
- Winemaking: A meticulous blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, with a generous proportion of reserve wines to ensure a consistent, refined house style.
Tasting notes for Deutz Brut Classic
Appearance – Bright pale gold, with a stream of fine, persistent bubbles suggesting a silky texture and delicate tension.
On the nose – Hawthorn and white-flower aromas emerge first, followed by notes of crisp apple, ripe pear and toasted brioche, lifted by a subtle saline hint.
On the palate – A lively, precise opening, with elegant acidity balanced by fruit and chalky minerality, leading to a long, appealing finish.
Serve at 8–10°C in a Champagne flute to preserve the fine bubbles and aromatic expression.
