- Vinification : Biological and biodynamic approach, oak barrel aging to reveal the purity of the grape varieties and the signature of the terroir.
Tasting notes for the wine Leclerc Briant Derrière Les Clos Extra Brut 2019
- To the eye : Golden robe with pale highlights, of a silky texture and crystalline clarity, like a veil of light over chalk.
- On the nose : Aromas of vine peach and morello cherry intertwine with notes of fresh almond and hawthorn blossom, before a saline touch recalls the chalky subsoil of Mailly-Champagne.
- On the palate : A lively and precise attack, where the tension of the Pinot Noir unfolds into a full and mineral substance, carried by an elegant acidity and a remarkably long saline finish.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a tapered Champagne flute to preserve its freshness and brilliance.
2019 Vintage
A year of early ripeness and concentration, where the mild climate allowed the grapes to reach full expression, combining richness and tension.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed now or cellared until 2030, in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
