The Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2018 from Domaine Anne Gros expresses the clay-limestone soils of Vougeot. This Pinot Noir, aged in barrels (one third new oak), reveals aromas of black cherry and spices. On the palate, its silky texture and vibrant minerality make it an excellent wine for aging, ideal with game and cheeses.

Nestled in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, this family estate embodies the exacting standards and finesse of great Burgundy wines, perpetuating a winemaking heritage dating back to the 1980s.
- Terroir : Exceptional plots in Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny, and Vougeot, where clay-limestone soils and privileged exposures shape wines of rare precision.
- Vinification : A fruit-forward approach combining tradition and modernity – systematic destemming, aging in French oak barrels for a pure expression of Pinot Noir.
Tasting Notes for Domaine Anne Gros Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2018
In the glass – A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky density and a brilliance that already hints at its complexity.
On the nose – First, fresh aromas of black cherry and violet, then deeper notes of sandalwood, incense, and a mineral touch reminiscent of the chalky soils of Burgundy.
On the palate – A velvety texture, supported by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with elegant tannins that stretch into a long, saline finish marked by remarkable tension.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full aromatic palette.

A generous and well-balanced vintage, where summer heat ripened the grapes without compromising their freshness, yielding structured and harmonious wines.
