The Joseph Drouhin Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses 2009, born on chalky soils, is a Pinot Noir of great precision. Notes of red fruits, truffle and soft spices. Silky palate, elegant tannins and a mineral finish. Perfect through 2034 with rich dishes.
A family estate founded in 1880, rooted at the heart of Burgundy, where respect for the terroir has guided every gesture for four generations.
- Terroir : The vines of Chambolle-Musigny, planted on clay-limestone soils, express a chalky minerality and a rare elegance, the signature of the Grands Crus of the Côte de Nuits.
- Vinification : Manual harvesting, fermentation in small open vats and ageing in French oak barrels, for a pure and precise expression of Pinot Noir.
To the eye: A deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherries and fresh raspberry, evolving towards notes of truffle, undergrowth and a saline touch, carried by a chalky minerality.
On the palate: Velvety attack, fine and taut tannins, lively acidity that underscores a fruity purity, before a long and elegant finish marked by a persistent saltiness.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
A generous and well-balanced vintage, where the ripeness of the fruit combines with a mineral freshness, characteristic of the great wines of Chambolle-Musigny.
- Ageing potential : To be kept for up to 25 years under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity and protected from light).
