Sourced from the clay-limestone slopes of Chevalier-Montrachet, this Grand Cru 2015 in Magnum from Domaine Etienne Sauzet is an exceptional Chardonnay. Aged in barrels, it combines lively freshness, minerality and aromas of linden blossom and hazelnut. Ideal with scallops or Bresse chicken, to be kept for 5 to 10 years.
Nestled in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet, this family estate perpetuates a viticultural heritage where Chardonnay expresses itself with rare precision.
- Terroir: clay-limestone and marly soils of the Chevalier-Montrachet appellation, where minerality shapes wines of chalky elegance.
- Vinification: aged in oak barrels, respecting natural balances and seeking pure tension, without artifice.
Tasting notes for Domaine Etienne Sauzet Chevalier-Montrachet 2015 Magnum
Appearance: a golden robe with green highlights, of silky clarity, heralding a dense and vibrant substance.
On the nose: aromas of acacia blossom, candied lemon and roasted hazelnut intertwine, carried by a saline touch and a flint minerality.
On the palate: an unctuous yet taut texture, where the lively acidity and chalky salinity draw out a remarkably long finish, marked by notes of honey and fresh almond.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
