The Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru 2015 from Domaine Ramonet is born on the limestone soils of Burgundy. This barrel-aged Chardonnay reveals aromas of white flowers and citrus, with a chalky minerality. The palate, silky and fresh, finishes on a saline note. To enjoy until 2035 with shellfish or poultry.
Nestled in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, this family estate has embodied the excellence of great white Burgundies for three generations.
- Terroir: Limestone soils of the Grands Crus of the Côte de Beaune, where minerality expresses itself with rare precision.
- Winemaking: Barrel aging for a silky tension, respecting the balance between power and purity of the Chardonnay.
Tasting notes for Domaine Ramonet Chevalier-Montrachet 2015
To the eye – A golden robe with pale highlights, of crystalline clarity and an almost unctuous texture.
On the nose – Aromas of white flowers (hawthorn, acacia) intertwine with notes of candied citrus, white peach, then a saline and chalky touch, the signature of great limestone terroirs.
On the palate – A silky attack, carried by a lively acidity and taut minerality, revealing nuances of toasted hazelnut and ripe yellow fruits, leading to a long and saline finish.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
