The Ghislaine Barthod Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Châtelots 2022, born on the limestone soils of Chambolle-Musigny, is a Pinot Noir aged 20 months in barrels. Notes of cherry, violet and spices, with a silky and mineral palate. Perfect for 8 to 12 years of ageing, it pairs beautifully with duck and lamb.
A family estate rooted at the heart of Chambolle-Musigny, where respect for the terroir has guided every gesture for three generations.
- Terroir: Chalky and limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, where the Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru appellation reveals a unique minerality and elegance.
- Vinification: Patient ageing in barrels, with a touch of new oak to highlight the purity of the Pinot Noir without altering its finesse.
In the glass: Garnet robe with vivid highlights, silky and luminous in texture.
On the nose: Aromas of morello cherry and fresh violet, followed by a hint of liquorice and a subtle chalky note, like a breath of mineral undergrowth.
On the palate: A precise and taut attack, where vibrant acidity embraces a velvety texture, carried by a saline minerality and an elegantly long finish.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its complexity.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration blend harmoniously.
- Ageing potential: 10 to 15 years, to be kept in cool and stable conditions, away from light.
