The Ghislaine Barthod Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras 2021 draws its finesse from the chalky soils of the appellation. This Pinot Noir, barrel-aged, seduces with its notes of red fruits and spices, its silky texture and its minerality. Perfect with meats in sauce, it can be kept until 2055.
A family estate rooted in the hillsides of Chambolle-Musigny, where respect for the terroir has guided every gesture for three generations.
- Terroir: The clay-limestone soils and gentle slopes of the Chambolle-Musigny appellation, in the Côte de Nuits, confer on the wines a chalky minerality and an airy elegance.
- Vinification: Ageing in oak barrels, with a measured touch of new wood, to preserve the purity of the Pinot Noir and reveal the finesse of the cru.
To the eye: A deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of morello cherry, ripe plum and wild berries intertwine with notes of potpourri, gentle spices and a saline touch reminiscent of Burgundian limestone.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality, which stretches into a long and discreetly fleshy finish, where red fruits and spiced nuances intermingle.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal all its complexity.
A vintage marked by slow ripeness and modest yields, offering wines of great precision and fine tension.
- Ageing potential: To be kept until 2055 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled hygrometry and away from light).
