- Terroir : clay-limestone and marly soils of the Bonnes-Mares appellation, in the Côte de Nuits, where Pinot Noir expresses a chalky minerality and a unique depth.
- Vinification : fruit-forward methods, aged in oak barrels for a silky structure and vibrant tension.
Tasting Notes for Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru 2021
In the glass: a deep red robe with garnet highlights, of a dense and luminous texture, like a liquid velvet.
On the nose: aromas of black cherry and fresh raspberry, followed by a hint of blood orange, then gentle spices and a subtle note of undergrowth, all lifted by a saline minerality.
On the palate: a silky attack, powdery and precise tannins, a lively acidity carrying a long mineral finish where ripe fruits and a hint of liquorice intertwine.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
