From the schists of Côte-Rôtie, the Fructus Voluptas 2021 from Domaine Jamet is a Syrah with aromas of dark fruits and spices. Aged 16 months in barrels, it offers a silky and mineral palate. Perfect with red meats or cheeses, it can age for up to 18 years.

A family estate rooted in the steep hillsides of Côte-Rôtie, where respect for the terroir is passed down from generation to generation.

Tasting Notes for Domaine Jamet Côte Rôtie Fructus Voluptas 2021
To the eye: A deep garnet red robe, of a silky and luminous texture, revealing from the very first glance its concentration and freshness.
On the nose: A generous bouquet where aromas of wild blackberry and black cherry mingle with a delicate touch of violet, followed by deeper notes of liquorice and black pepper, all underlined by a subtle mineral salinity.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by silky tannins and a well-balanced acidity, while a chalky minerality stretches into a long and persistent finish where the fruit remains in tension.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy-style red wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
