The Krug Grande Cuvée Édition 27 Rosé, a blend of 38 wines (2005–2015), reveals the terroirs of Champagne. Pinot Noir (57%), Chardonnay and Meunier compose this rosé with notes of red fruits and citrus. Saline palate, fine bubbles and a long finish. Perfect for aperitifs or refined dishes.
A legendary House founded in 1843, Krug embodies Champagne excellence through its meticulous approach to blending and its roots in the exceptional terroirs of Champagne.
- Terroir : Grand and Premier Cru classified vineyards – Pinot Noir from Sacy, Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, Meunier from the finest crus – where chalky soils and the northern climate sculpt grapes of rare intensity.
- Vinification : Blend of reserve wines (up to 55%) and extended aging on lees in oak barrels, for unique complexity and depth.
Tasting notes for the Krug Grande Cuvée Édition 27 Rosé wine
To the eye – A pale rosé robe with coppery highlights, silky in texture and crystalline in brilliance, like a rose petal brushed by the light.
On the nose – An airy bouquet where fresh raspberry, wild rose blossom, pink grapefruit and a saline hint of flint intertwine, all wrapped in a subtle note of acacia honey.
On the palate – A precise and taut attack, driven by a vibrant acidity and a chalky minerality, as the fine bubbles unfold a texture that is at once delicate and concentrated, giving way to a long, saline and mouthwatering finish where candied citrus and a hint of liquorice linger.
Serve between 9°C and 12°C in a champagne flute or a white wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2015
A year of early maturity and concentration, the 2015 vintage brings to this blend a full-bodied structure and a persistent freshness, balanced by the wisdom of the reserve wines.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed now for its vibrant fruitiness, or cellared for up to 15 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light to allow its tertiary nuances to unfold.
