Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion 1997, second wine of Château La Mission Haut-Brion, from the gravelly soils of Pessac-Léognan. Aged in barrels (25% new), it marries oak, dark fruits and spices. Silky texture, precise tannins and mineral freshness. Ideal for 5 to 10 years, to enjoy with red meats.

Tasting notes for Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion 1997
To the eye: a garnet red robe with tawny reflections, dense and slightly veiled by time, revealing an unctuous texture.
On the nose: aromas of ripe dark fruits mingle with notes of cedar, fresh green pepper and a hint of vanilla, carried by a subtle chalky minerality.
On the palate: a supple and velvety attack, where the tension of well-integrated tannins balances with a lively acidity and a slightly spiced finish, prolonged by a discreet saltiness.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to reveal its full purity.

A vintage marked by contrasting maturity, where the freshness of the tannins and the aromatic complexity reveal themselves over time.
- Aging potential : best enjoyed by 2027, stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
