Bahans Haut-Brion 2001, second wine of Château Haut-Brion, sourced from the gravels of Pessac-Léognan. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, aged in oak. Aromas of plum, cocoa and smoke. Silky palate, melted tannins. To enjoy with filet mignon or cheese, ages 5–10 years.

- Terroir : Gravelly and clay soils, bathed in a temperate climate, impart a distinctive minerality and rare elegance to the wines.
- Winemaking : A precise aging in French oak barrels, respectful of the grape varieties, yielding cuvées of remarkable purity and tension.
Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion Bahans Haut-Brion 2001
On the eye – A deep garnet-red robe, with a silky texture and crystalline brilliance, already revealing the maturity and complexity of the vintage.
On the nose – A generous bouquet where red cherry, fresh raspberry, notes of roasted cocoa and a mineral hint of graphite intertwine, lifted by a touch of black pepper and dried flowers.
On the palate – A velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, while the melted tannins stretch into a long, saline finish where aromas of plum and smoke linger.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full aromatic range.
