Tasting notes for Château Troplong Mondot 1982
To the eye: Garnet robe with tawny highlights, silky in texture and clear, revealing nearly four decades of evolution.
On the nose: Aromas of damp undergrowth, aged leather, wild mushroom and sun-dried tomato, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of liquorice.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, tannins still present but well integrated, supported by a chalky acidity and a long finish marked by notes of tobacco and gentle spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
