Nestled on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, this family estate embodies the excellence of an exceptional terroir, where every bottle tells the story of ancestral expertise.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone soils on the Saint-Émilion plateau, the cradle of great Merlots, shaping wines of rare minerality and depth.
- Vinification : Meticulous aging in oak barrels, combining tradition and precision to reveal the elegance and complexity of the grape varieties.
Tasting notes for Château Troplong Mondot 2010
To the eye: a deep red robe with garnet reflections, dense and silky, like a mineral velvet.
On the nose: aromas of wild blackberries and fresh violets intertwine with deeper notes of black truffle, liquorice, and a saline touch, recalling the chalky subsoils of the estate.
On the palate: an ample and velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, extending into a long and taut finish where gentle spices and dark fruits mingle.
Serve between 16 and 18°C, in a Bordeaux glass to fully reveal its complexity.

A sunny and precise vintage, where the summer heat ripened the grapes without diminishing their freshness, delivering a wine of remarkable structure and great harmony.
