Champagne Franck Bonville: Grower champagnes, indulgent and full-bodied
The Domaine Franck BONVILLE is located in Avize in the heart of the Côte des Blancs and was established in the early 1900s by Alfred BONVILLE, soon joined by his son Franck Bonville who gave it his name. Today, Olivier Bonville of the 4th generation runs Domaine Franck Bonville after joining his father in 1996.

The Franck Bonville estate boasts a beautiful 15-hectare vineyard classified as Grand Cru, 100% Chardonnay, spread across Avize, Oger and Le Mesnil sur Oger. The Franck Bonville Champagne range is made up of different crus whose typicity often lies in a brioche character. Within the Bonville range, the "Brut Grand Cru" is a Blanc de Blancs crafted from the terroirs of Avize and Oger, assembled from 3 vintages, with a style focused on freshness and finesse, as well as minerality and lightness. After 30 months in the cellar, this Brut Grand Cru is disgorged 9 months after bottling, and benefits from a dosage of 9g, which gives it a great deal of roundness. The "Millésime 2014 " Blanc de Blancs is elegant and delicate, presenting indulgent, fruity aromas (pear, mirabelle plum, banana) with notes of white flowers and citrus, supported by a toasty brioche touch. The palate is broad and tangy, with rich aromas of mango, orange and mirabelle plum. The bead is fine and discreet, yet very persistent. Crafted from vines located on the Grand Cru terroir of Avize, this cuvée has spent more than 5 years in the cellar, and its Brut dosage brings roundness and balance. The Champagne "Rosé Grand Cru" is round and silky, with subtle red fruit aromas. The wine is crafted from Grand Cru Chardonnay from Avize, complemented by 10% Grand Cru Pinot Noir from Ambonnay, vinified as a red wine. On the nose, aromas of wild strawberry and cherry dominate, accompanied by notes of brioche, vanilla and dried fruits, quite characteristic of Chardonnay. The attack is wonderfully round, beautifully complemented by notes of crunchy red fruits and fine minerality. The cuvée "Les Belles Voyes" is a vintage, single-vineyard Blanc de Blancs crafted from Chardonnay from Oger. The Les Belles Voyes plot, covering 0.8 ha, is situated mid-slope and was planted in 1960. Fermentations are carried out in oak barrels and the bottles age for 5 years before disgorgement, with a dosage of only 2.5g. On the nose, this Champagne reveals an exceptional aromatic bouquet, with pastry and indulgent fragrances, followed on the palate by buttery, broad and generous notes. This rich, full-bodied wine counterbalances a fresher, mentholated and iodine touch, as well as a subtle, deliberate light oxidation. Franck Bonville — an estate waiting to be discovered.
