Estate history

The Marie-Noëlle Ledru estate, located in the prestigious wine-growing region of Champagne in Ambonnay, is steeped in a rich and fascinating history. Founded by the Ledru family, the estate has been passed down from generation to generation, with particular attention paid to preserving family traditions and innovating in Champagne production. From its humble beginnings, the estate has flourished, becoming a benchmark in the world of artisanal Champagne. A true grower Champagne of character, quite difficult to obtain since the estate covers only 2.5 hectares and produces 12,000 bottles per year!

Terroir, vines and winemaking

The terroir of the Marie-Noëlle Ledru estate is a key element of the exceptional quality of its Champagnes. The vines are planted on limestone soils, rich in minerals, which give the grapes a unique aromatic complexity. Environmentally respectful cultivation methods and the traditional expertise of the winemakers also contribute to the quality of the harvested grapes.

More than 80% of the vines are pinot noir! The rest is planted with chardonnay.

Winemaking at the Marie-Noëlle Ledru estate is a meticulous and rigorous process. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted to select only the finest fruit. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes to express themselves fully. The wine is then aged on lees in underground cellars, where it acquires its characteristic complexity and elegance.

The Champagne Cuvées of Marie-Noëlle Ledru

The Marie-Noëlle Ledru estate is an unmissable reference in the world of artisanal Champagne, offering cuvées of exceptional quality that celebrate the French art de vivre with elegance and refinement.

Plenty of blanc de noirs, perfect for ultra-pinot fans — the Champagnes are whole, energetic and exemplarily frank!

Brut: fine natural breadth, a hint of vegetal

Extra Brut: more balanced, a magnificent Champagne for the table and for ageing

Cuvée du Goulté: a magnificent expression of the Ambonnay terroirs. This cuvée has benefited from meticulous winemaking: fermentation in an inert vessel, malolactic fermentation and ageing on lees for 5 years. As a result, the Champagne gains in roundness and propels itself towards a breathtaking complexity! Hand-disgorged and bottled without filtration.

A very flavourful personality. This is a Champagne built for ageing and perfect to accompany fine cuisine: discreet, precise, distinguished and excellent!
