The domaine of Marie-Noëlle Ledru, located in the prestigious wine region of Champagne in Ambonnay, is steeped in a rich and fascinating history. Founded by the Ledru family, the domaine has been passed down through generations, with special attention paid to preserving family traditions and innovating in Champagne production. From its humble beginnings, the domaine has flourished, becoming a reference in the world of artisanal Champagne. A true character Champagne from a vigneron, quite difficult to obtain as the domaine covers only 2.5 hectares and produces 12,000 bottles per year!

Terroir, Vines, and Vinification

The terroir of Marie-Noelle Ledru's domaine is a key element in the exceptional quality of its Champagnes. The vines are planted in limestone soils, rich in minerals, which give the grapes a unique aromatic complexity. Environmentally friendly farming methods and traditional winemaking expertise also contribute to the quality of the harvested grapes. Over 80% of the vines are pinot noir! The remainder is planted with chardonnay.

Vinification at Marie-Noelle Ledru's domaine is a meticulous and rigorous process. Grapes are handpicked and carefully sorted to select only the best fruit. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes to fully express themselves. Then, the wine is aged on lees in underground cellars, where it acquires its characteristic complexity and elegance.

Extra Brut: more balanced, a magnificent table and aging Champagne

Cuvée du Goulté: a magnificent expression of Ambonnay terroirs. This cuvée has benefited from meticulous vinification: fermentation in inert containers, malolactic fermentation, and aging on lees for 5 years. Thus, the Champagne gains in roundness and propels itself towards astonishing complexity! Hand disgorged and bottled without filtration.
