The Château d'Yquem 2015, Premier Cru Supérieur of Sauternes, was born on gravelly soils. Blended from 75% Sémillon and 25% Sauvignon, this sweet wine captivates with aromas of pineapple, orange blossom and lemon. On the palate, its silky, mineral texture delivers a lingering finish. The jewel of Sauternes, this estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence since the 16th century, with every bottle bearing the heritage of a unique terroir and an unrivalled savoir-faire.
- Terroir: The gravelly-sandy and clay soils of the Sauternes appellation, bathed by the Ciron and the Garonne, which encourage noble rot and concentrate the aromas.
- Vinification: Berry-by-berry harvesting, 20 months of ageing in new oak barrels, and an absolute pursuit of purity and balance between sugar and acidity.
Tasting notes for Château d'Yquem Yquem 2015
To the eye – A golden robe with amber highlights, dense and luminous, like liquid honey captured in the glass, with an almost unctuous texture.
On the nose – First, vibrant aromas of candied pineapple and green mango, followed by deeper notes of orange blossom and lemon meringue tart, lifted by a saline touch of lime zest and a chalky minerality.
On the palate – A silky and generous attack, where a tangy tension lifts layers of tropical fruits and gentle spices, leading to an endless finish that is at once fresh and mineral, carried by a saline length and rare elegance.
Serve between 13 and 15 °C in a Bordeaux-style white wine glass to release the full complexity of its aromas.

A sunny and balanced vintage, in which the summer heat magnified the concentration of the grapes without diminishing their freshness.
- Ageing potential: To be kept until 2065 under optimal conditions (stable temperature between 12 and 14 °C, controlled humidity), to reveal its full complexity over the decades.
