The Volnay 1er Cru 2006 from Domaine Coche-Dury embodies the Pinot Noir of Burgundy. Sourced from clay-limestone soils, this oaked wine reveals aromas of red fruits and spices. Its palate, silky and mineral, lingers with freshness. Best enjoyed until 2026, paired with duck breast or cheese.
Domaine Coche-Dury
A family estate rooted in Meursault, Domaine Coche-Dury has embodied Burgundian excellence for generations.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, where the Pinot Noir grapes of Volnay express a unique mineral elegance.
- Winemaking: Traditional methods, barrel-aged for a pure expression and silky tension.
Tasting notes for Domaine Coche-Dury Volnay 1er Cru 2006
To the eye – Deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a velvety and luminous texture.
On the nose – Aromas of black cherry and fresh violet, followed by notes of undergrowth and liquorice, underlined by a chalky, saline touch.
On the palate – A silky attack, lively acidity and taut minerality, with a long, precise finish carried by elegant tannins.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full purity.
Vintage 2006
