The Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes 2015 Magnum from Domaine Michel Lafarge, from Pinot Noir on clay-limestone soils, reveals aromas of red fruits, spices, and violet. Aged in oak barrels, it combines silkiness, freshness, and chalky minerality. To be enjoyed until 2035 with game or aged cheeses.

To the eye: Deep garnet robe with ruby highlights, of a silky and luminous density.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry, violet, and licorice, lifted by a touch of undergrowth and a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate: Velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a persistent minerality, with a long and taut finish.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.

A generous and balanced vintage, where summer heat ripened the grapes without altering their freshness.
- Aging potential: 10 to 15 years in a cool and humid cellar (12–14°C, humidity 70–75%).
