The Michel Lafarge Volnay 1er Cru 2015 Magnum reveals the limestone terroir of Volnay. This Pinot Noir, aged in barrels, offers aromas of cherry and spices, a silky and mineral palate. Perfect for 10 to 15 years of cellaring, it pairs beautifully with duck breast or game with elegance.

A family estate rooted in Volnay, where the Burgundian heritage has been passed down through generations in respect of the terroir.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, the cradle of great Pinot Noir, where each plot expresses a chalky minerality and a natural elegance.
- Vinification: Traditional methods and biodynamics, for precise, taut wines that are true to their origin.

To the eye: Deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh morello cherry, violet and undergrowth evolving towards notes of liquorice and a saline touch, the signature of great Volnay wines.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, silky tannins and chalky minerality, carried by an elegant acidity and a long finish of remarkable purity.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.

A generous and balanced vintage, where the summer heat ripened the grapes without compromising their freshness or mineral tension.
