The Volnay 1er Cru Les Pitures 2023 Magnum from Domaine Michel Lafarge, from 15 ares of clay-limestone soils, is a precise and mineral Pinot Noir. Aged in magnum, it combines red fruits, lively acidity and silky tannins. Ideal for 10 to 15 years of cellaring, it pairs with red meats or dishes in sauce.

Tasting notes for Domaine Michel Lafarge Volnay 1er Cru Les Pitures 2023 Magnum
To the eye: Deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Freshness of morello cherry and wild raspberry, evolving towards notes of violet and soft liquorice, lifted by a saline and chalky touch, the signature of the Volnay terroir.
On the palate: A precise and taut attack, where lively acidity meets tannins of silky finesse, while a chalky minerality carries a long and mouth-watering finish, marked by aromas of dark fruits and soft spices.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration complement each other harmoniously, delivering a wine of remarkable tension.
- Aging potential: 10 to 15 years, to be kept in a cool cellar (12-14°C) and away from light.
