The Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes 2023 Magnum from Domaine Michel Lafarge, from Volnay, is a Pinot Noir aged in oak barrels. Its notes of cherry and spice precede a silky and mineral palate. Ideal for 10 to 15 years of cellaring, it pairs with poultry or game.

To the eye: Deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry, violet and liquorice, lifted by a hint of undergrowth and a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate: Velvety attack, lively acidity and rounded tannins, carried by a persistent minerality and a long, elegant finish.
Serving temperature: 14-16°C – Burgundy glass to bring out its full complexity.
