The Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes 2019, Pinot Noir from Domaine Michel Lafarge, expresses the chalky soils of the Côte de Beaune. Nose of red fruits, spices and flowers, aged in barrels. Balanced palate, silky tannins and a mineral finish. To be enjoyed through 2039 with game or refined dishes.

A family estate rooted at the heart of Volnay, where the Burgundian heritage is passed down with exacting standards and respect for the terroir.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, the cradle of great Pinot Noir, shaping wines of mineral elegance and rare precision.
- Vinification: Traditional methods, carefully controlled ageing in oak barrels, for cuvées that express the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the lieu-dit.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Michel Lafarge Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes 2019
- To the eye: Deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and luminous texture, heralding a wine that is at once dense and refined.
- On the nose: Aromas of black plum and fresh blackcurrant, evolving towards notes of roasted cocoa, peony and a saline touch reminiscent of the chalky soil of the Clos des Chênes.
- On the palate: Lively and precise attack, powdery tannins enveloped in taut acidity, chalky minerality and a long finish carried by soft spices and a persistent floral touch.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
