Domaine des Tours 2017: The Authenticity of Emmanuel Reynaud’s Style
The Domaine des Tours 2017 is an iconic cuvée from the renowned winemaker Emmanuel Reynaud, also the owner of the legendary Château Rayas, Château de Fonsalette, and Château des Tours. Located in Sarrians, Vaucluse, this estate produces wines that faithfully express the terroir of the southern Rhône Valley, offering elegance, depth, and drinkability.
This wine is a blend predominantly composed of Grenache, complemented by Syrah, Cinsault, Counoise, and Merlot, reflecting Reynaud’s signature style of silky, fruit-forward wines with remarkable balance.
Its light ruby-red colour hints at finesse and delicacy. The nose is expressive and complex, revealing aromas of crushed strawberries, candied cherries, Provençal herbs, and subtle spice. On the palate, the attack is airy and smooth, with fine tannins and refreshing acidity, making this wine particularly elegant and easy to drink. The long, harmonious finish lingers on notes of red fruits and a delicate smoky touch.
This wine pairs beautifully with herb-roasted poultry, Mediterranean dishes, or grilled veal chops. Already delightful to drink, it also has the potential to develop further complexity with a few years of ageing.
