The Domaine des Tours 2012, from the Vaucluse, is a Vin de Pays from the southern Rhône combining Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. Aromas of dried flowers and candied fruits, a balanced and mineral palate. Ideal for 5 to 8 years of aging, it pairs beautifully with game and aged cheeses.
Domaine des Tours
Nestled in the heart of the Vaucluse, this family estate embodies the exacting standards of an exceptional terroir and the transmission of a rare expertise.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and rolled pebbles from Sarrians, between the Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail, where the Mediterranean climate sculpts wines of mineral precision.
- Vinification: Aging in large oak casks and tanks, respecting natural cycles, for cuvées that are both generous and taut, faithful to the spirit of the great wines of the southern Rhône.
Tasting notes for the Domaine des Tours 2012 wine
To the eye: A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky density.
On the nose: First wafts of fresh violets and dried rose petals, followed by notes of candied wild strawberries, ripe blackcurrant and a saline touch reminiscent of sun-drenched garrigue.
On the palate: A fleshy yet elegant texture, carried by a lively acidity and chalky minerality, with melted tannins that extend the finish on aromas of licorice and soft spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to reveal its full complexity.

A vintage marked by a rare balance between fruit ripeness and mineral freshness, typical of years when the mistral sculpted grapes of great precision.
