Nestled in the heart of the Vaucluse, this family estate embodies the exacting standards of Emmanuel Reynaud, the legendary winemaker behind Châteaux Rayas and Fonsalette.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and rounded pebbles in the Vaucluse, bathed in Mediterranean light—a setting for wines of rare precision.
- Winemaking: Patient barrel aging that respects natural rhythms, producing cuvées where freshness meets depth.
Tasting notes for Domaine des Tours Merlot Syrah 2005
Appearance: Garnet color with brick-red highlights and a silky density.
On the nose: Aromas of wild blackberry and black cherry, lifted by notes of licorice, gray pepper and a saline touch reminiscent of the Vaucluse garrigue.
On the palate: A generous yet taut texture, carried by lively acidity and chalky minerality, with a long finish blending sweet spices and ripe fruit.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to bring out its full complexity.
