Nestled in Sarrians, in the heart of the Vaucluse, this family estate has embodied since 1935 the rigor and discretion of a viticulture respectful of living nature.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the IGP Vaucluse, shaped by a temperate Mediterranean climate, where each grape variety reveals a chalky minerality and a vibrant tension.
- Winemaking: Natural method – indigenous yeasts, patient aging – for wines of rare purity, where the fruit converses with the earth without artifice.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine des Tours Merlot 2010
To the eye: Garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky density.
On the nose: Aromas of candied plum and wild blackberry intertwine with notes of blond tobacco, roasted cacao, and a saline touch reminiscent of sun-scorched garrigue.
On the palate: A fluid and velvety attack, tannins melted into an almost unctuous texture, carried by a lively acidity and a long finish where licorice and soft spices intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to release its full aromatic palette.
