Nestled in the heart of Vaucluse, this family estate embodies the exacting standards and finesse of the great wines of the Southern Rhône, guided by Emmanuel Reynaud’s expert hand.
- Terroir: Sarrians’ clay-limestone soils, bathed in Mediterranean sunlight, shape wines of rare elegance and mineral depth.
- Winemaking: Traditional methods and respect for the fruit yield cuvées that are both precise and generous, with time playing its part subtly.
Tasting notes for Domaine des Tours Merlot 2009
Appearance: Garnet red with brick-red highlights and a silky density that already hints at a velvety texture and harmonious maturity.
Nose: Wild blackberry and black cherry notes come first, followed by a touch of licorice and cocoa. A subtle salinity then brings balance, evoking the sun-drenched garrigue of Vaucluse.
Palate: A full, fleshy texture, supported by lively acidity and chalky minerality, leads to a long, slightly spicy finish that combines softness and tension.
Serving temperature: 16°C—enjoy in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
