The Domaine Dujac Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes 2011, a Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits, reveals aromas of cherry, spices and rose after 18 months in barrels. Its silky, mineral palate captivates. Perfect until 2028 with game or duck.
Nestled in the heart of Morey-Saint-Denis, this family estate has embodied Burgundian excellence since 1968. A story of passion passed down with rigor, where every bottle tells the story of the terroir.
- Terroir : The clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, shaped by the Premiers Crus of Gevrey-Chambertin, lend the wines a chalky minerality and a unique depth.
- Winemaking : A respectful approach – whole clusters, aging in French oak barrels – yielding wines of taut elegance, where fruit engages in dialogue with the earth.
Tasting notes for Domaine Dujac Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes 2011
- To the eye : A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and luminous texture, like liquid velvet.
- On the nose : First, notes of morello cherry and fresh raspberry, followed by a hint of faded rose, then accents of undergrowth and licorice, all lifted by a subtle mineral salinity.
- On the palate : A lively and precise attack, where taut acidity marries silky tannins, while a chalky minerality carries a long and persistent finish, marked by notes of black cherry and gentle spices.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2011
A vintage marked by early ripeness and preserved freshness, offering wines of immediate elegance yet endowed with a beautiful structure.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed until 2028, provided it is stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
