The Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaut Saint-Jacques 2018 Magnum from Domaine Duroché expresses a clay-limestone and alluvial terroir. This Pinot Noir, with notes of black berries and spices, captivates with its lively and silky palate. Perfect for cellaring until 2038, it pairs beautifully with game and aged cheeses.
Domaine Duroché
A family estate rooted in the hillsides of Gevrey-Chambertin, where time sculpts wines of rare precision.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone soils and alluvial deposits of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of Pinot Noir with mineral and profound expressions.
- Vinification : Organic methods and patience, to produce cuvées that reveal the soul of the terroir without artifice.

Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Duroché Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaut Saint-Jacques 2018
To the eye – A deep garnet red robe, with dense reflections and a silky texture.
On the nose – Aromas of fresh black berries, discreet violet, then grey pepper and liquorice, followed by a saline touch reminiscent of the flint stones of the terroir.
On the palate – A lively and precise attack, where the tension of the fruit blends with a chalky minerality, carried by an elegant acidity and a long, almost saline finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
2018 Vintage
A generous vintage, in which the summer heat concentrated the fruit without altering the characteristic freshness of Lavaut Saint-Jacques.
- Ageing potential : To be enjoyed until 2038, provided it is stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
