This Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru 2023 from Domaine Sylvie Esmonin, sourced from old vines on limestone, combines whole-cluster fermentation and aging in new oak barrels. Aromas of cherry and dried flowers, silky texture and a mineral finish. Perfect with roasted meats or aged cheeses.

- Terroir : The vines, rooted in Bathonian limestone soils, benefit from a cool exposure and a natural slope, imparting a singular tension and minerality to the wines.
- Vinification : A traditional approach, combining whole clusters and aging in oak barrels, for cuvées that are both powerful and elegantly precise.

To the eye – A deep red robe with garnet reflections, of a silky texture and a visual density that heralds its concentration.
On the nose – Aromas of black cherry and ripe plum intertwine with notes of dried flowers, a hint of iron and a chalky minerality, like an echo of the limestone soils.
On the palate – A structured attack, carried by fine tannins and a lively acidity, revealing a flavorful mid-palate and a saline finish that lingers with remarkable length.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to bring out its full complexity.
