To the eye: Garnet robe with tawny highlights, velvety in texture and of promising density.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry, faded violet, damp undergrowth and a saline touch reminiscent of the limestone soils of Volnay.
On the palate: A silky attack, lively acidity and chalky minerality that extends into a long, taut finish, marked by notes of liquorice and gentle spices.
