The Clos de la Roche 2014 from Domaine Leroy, a Grand Cru from Burgundy, expresses the purity of Pinot Noir aged in barrels. Ripe fruits, spices and minerality blend into an elegant and taut texture. Ideal with game, to be enjoyed until 2044.

Nestled in the heart of Burgundy, Domaine Leroy embodies the union of a century-old winemaking heritage and an uncompromising pursuit of purity. Since 1988, Lalou Bize-Leroy has cultivated excellence here through a biodynamic approach, making each cuvée an ode to the terroir.
- Terroir : The vines take root in the limestone and marl soils of the Côte de Nuits, where the Clos de la Roche appellation, Grand Cru of Morey-Saint-Denis, reveals a chalky minerality and unique depth.
- Vinification : Absolute respect for the fruit – manual harvesting, fermentation in oak barrels with indigenous yeasts, and ageing without heavy-handed intervention, for wines of rare precision.
Tasting notes for Domaine Leroy Clos de la Roche 2014
To the eye – A garnet red robe with deep reflections, of a silky texture and a density that already hints at the complexity within.
On the nose – First, aromas of black cherry and wild blackberry, followed by notes of violet, liquorice and a touch of damp undergrowth, all lifted by a subtle mineral salinity.
On the palate – A velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and a mineral tension that stretches into a long and saline finish, where gentle spices and elegant tannins intertwine.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its full aromatic palette.

A vintage marked by balanced ripeness and preserved freshness, lending Clos de la Roche an ideal structure for cellaring.
