The Château Léoville Poyferré 2002, Second Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien, comes from the gravelly soils of the Médoc. This wine, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in barrels, captivates with its aromas of blackcurrant and spices. Its lively and silky palate makes it an excellent wine for aging (10-15 years), ideal with refined dishes.

Tasting notes for Château Léoville Poyferré 2002
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with brick-red glints, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, wild blackberry, cedar and blonde tobacco, lifted by a hint of graphite and a subtle iodine salinity.
On the palate: Velvety attack, fine and tight tannins, lively acidity and chalky minerality, leading to a long and taut finish marked by notes of liquorice and gentle spices.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
