The Château Léoville Poyferré 1975, a Saint-Julien fine wine, is sourced from the gravel soils of the Médoc. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (63%) and Merlot, aged 18 months in oak, reveals a structured palate and aromas of spice. Perfect with meats and cheeses through 2030.
Nestled in the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation, this estate embodies Bordeaux excellence, combining family heritage and viticultural precision.
- Terroir : 80 hectares of deep gravel soils, typical of the Médoc, where the minerality of the terroir gives rise to wines of structured elegance.
- Vinification : An aging of 18 months in French oak barrels, yielding cuvées that are both powerful and of great finesse.
- Appearance : A garnet red robe with tawny reflections, of a silky density and a brilliance subtly patinated by time.
- On the nose : A bouquet where aromas of candied blackcurrant, cedar, blond tobacco and undergrowth mingle, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
- On the palate : A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and harmonious finish, where notes of licorice and soft spices reveal themselves.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
A vintage marked by optimal grape maturity, yielding full-bodied wines of great depth, while retaining a rare elegance.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed before 2030, under ideal storage conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
