Nestled at the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation, this historic estate has embodied the excellence of Bordeaux wines since the 18th century.- Terroir : 82 hectares of Garonne gravels, deep and well-drained soils that sculpt the mineral elegance of the great Saint-Julien wines.- Vinification : A precise blend of noble grape varieties, aged with patience to reveal the complexity of a terroir classified in 1855.

Tasting notes for Château Gruaud Larose Gruaud Larose 2008
To the eye – A garnet robe with violet highlights, dense and luminous, heralding a silky texture and an assertive structure.
On the nose – A bouquet where fresh violet, ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and a peppery touch mingle, lifted by a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate – The attack is lively, carried by elegant tannins and precise acidity, while notes of cocoa and toasted hazelnut unfold into a long, mineral finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
2008 Vintage
A vintage marked by slow ripening, where climatic conditions preserved the freshness and tension of the fruit.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed until 2030; store in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
