An estate founded and run by Olivier Jullien, rooted in the Terrasses du Larzac and the Hérault, where the terroir shapes wines of rare depth.
- Terroir: Limestone gravel and clay-limestone scree soils, between the high terraces of the Hérault and the foothills of the Larzac, at elevations up to 450 meters—a mineral setting for wines of singular tension.
- Winemaking: Hand-harvested grapes, fermentation with native yeasts, and extended aging in old large oak casks or demi-muids preserve the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Mas Jullien Blanc de Raisins Blancs 2023
In the glass: A brilliant pale yellow color with golden highlights and silky clarity.
On the nose: Vibrant aromas of white peach and ripe pear intertwine with notes of citrus zest, white flowers, and delicate herbs, underpinned by chalky minerality and a hint of fresh almond.
On the palate: A full, elegant texture, driven by vibrant acidity and saline minerality, leads to a long finish mingling quince, delicate honey, and wet stone—a wine of pure tension and remarkable persistence.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a medium-sized white wine glass to release its full complexity.
