The Pascal Agrapart Vénus Grand Cru 2019, Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature, is born from the chalky soils of Avize. Crafted from hand-cultivated Chardonnay, it reveals aromas of citrus, a saline minerality and a lively, precise palate. With no dosage, it combines freshness and mineral length. Ideal with oysters or to be cellared for 5 to 8 years.
A family house rooted at the heart of the Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs, where three generations cultivate the art of revealing the mineral purity of chalky terroirs.
- Terroir : Thin and chalky soils of the Grands Crus of Avize, Cramant, Oger and Oiry, where Chardonnay flourishes into a saline and precise expression.
- Vinification : Rigorous plot selection, hand harvesting and aging in barrels for champagnes of tension, without artifice, where minerality takes precedence.
Tasting notes for the Champagne Agrapart Grand Cru Vénus 2019
- To the eye : Pale golden robe with green reflections, of silky clarity and fine, persistent effervescence, as if traced in pencil.
- On the nose : Aromas of linden blossom and fresh lime, followed by a touch of toasted hazelnut and a saline note evoking sea spray on chalk.
- On the palate : A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality, before a long, saline finish of rectilinear elegance.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a tall flute or a white wine glass to preserve its tension and purity.
Vintage 2019
A vintage marked by balanced maturity, where the mineral freshness of the chalky soils expresses itself with remarkable clarity.
- Aging potential : To be stored 8 to 12 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light, to allow its toasted nuances and saline complexity to fully develop.
