From the clay-limestone soils of Gevrey-Chambertin, the Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2021 from Domaine Arlaud is a barrel-aged Pinot Noir. Red fruits, spices and chalky minerality come together in a silky and precise palate. To be savoured through 2030 with game or aged cheeses.
Domaine Arlaud
A family estate rooted in the Côte de Nuits, where the winemaking heritage has been passed down since 1942 with exacting standards and respect for the terroir.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the grands crus of Gevrey-Chambertin, where Pinot Noir expresses its full mineral and fruity complexity.
- Vinification: A biologic and biodynamic approach, precise aging for wines of taut elegance and remarkable purity.
Tasting notes for Domaine Arlaud Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2021
In the glass: A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh black cherry, violet, damp undergrowth and a saline touch reminiscent of the chalky soils of Gevrey-Chambertin.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, fine and close-knit tannins, chalky minerality supported by an elegant acidity, long and persistent finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage marked by vibrant freshness, where the balance between ripeness and tension gives birth to wines of great precision.
- Aging potential: 15 to 20 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
