The Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2020 from Domaine Duroché is born on the limestone soils of Gevrey-Chambertin. This Pinot Noir, aged in barrels, offers notes of red fruits, flowers and spices. Its palate, tender and precise, reveals silky tannins. Perfect after 10 years, it pairs beautifully with duck breast or risotto.
Domaine Duroché
A family estate rooted in the great terroirs of Gevrey-Chambertin, where five generations have crafted wines of rare precision.
- Terroir: Limestone and marl soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of Burgundy's Grand Crus, where Pinot Noir expresses its full nobility.
- Vinification: Aged in oak barrels, respecting natural cycles and seeking a pure expression of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Duroché Charmes-Chambertin 2020
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with ruby highlights, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry, faded rose and liquorice, lifted by a hint of damp undergrowth and a chalky minerality characteristic of the great terroirs of Gevrey-Chambertin.
On the palate: Velvety texture, lively acidity and fine tannins, carried by a mineral tension that stretches into a saline and persistent finish.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2020
A vintage marked by early ripeness and remarkable aromatic concentration, offering a perfect balance between freshness and structure.
- Aging potential: 15 to 20 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
