Domaine Armand Rousseau Nestled in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, this family estate has embodied Burgundian excellence for nearly a century, combining tradition and precision. - Terroir: Clay-limestone and marl soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of the most prestigious Grand Crus, where Pinot Noir reveals its full depth. - Vinification: Ageing in French oak barrels, respect for natural cycles and the pursuit of a pure expression of the terroir, without artifice. Tasting notes for Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin Grand Cru 2021 To the eye – A deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance, heralding a generous and precise character. On the nose – First aromas of black cherry and wild blackberry, followed by nuances of violet and soft liquorice, before a mineral, almost chalky touch underlines the complexity of the terroir. On the palate – A velvety yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a saline minerality that stretches into a long and elegant finish, where candied red fruits and gentle spices intertwine. Serve at 16-18°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its aromas. Vintage 2021 A vintage marked by freshness and balance, where the concentration of the grapes allowed the full nobility of the Chambertin to be expressed. - Ageing potential: Keep for 15 to 25 years in a cool cellar (12-14°C) and away from light, for harmonious development.
