The Chambertin Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes 2021 from Domaine Fourrier embodies the elegance of the terroirs of Gevrey-Chambertin. This old-vine Pinot Noir offers aromas of ripe fruits and a mineral touch. Lively, silky, and saline palate. Ideal with poultry or game, to be cellared until 2035.
Nestled in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, this family estate embodies the rigor and finesse of the great wines of Burgundy, where each cuvée reveals the soul of an exceptional terroir.
- Terroir : The vines, rooted in the limestone and marly soils of the Côte de Nuits, draw their character from a unique climate, shaping wines of mineral precision and rare elegance.
- Vinification : A respectful approach – manual harvesting, controlled aging in oak barrels – to preserve the purity of the Pinot Noir and the faithful expression of the place.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Fourrier Chambertin Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes 2021
- To the eye : A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and crystalline brilliance, heralding a body that is both generous and refined.
- On the nose : A bouquet where ripe red fruits (griotte cherry, raspberry) mingle with floral notes of peony, a spiced hint of licorice, and a subtle chalky minerality, evoking the limestone subsoil of Gevrey-Chambertin.
- On the palate : A velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and a saline tension, stretching into a long and precise finish, where silky tannins reveal themselves alongside an aromatic persistence marked by nuances of undergrowth and truffle.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
